The ISBN does NOT appear within the calendar itself. It is found on a small adhesive price tag on the back of the mailer which was printed with Tolkien The Centenary 1892 - 1992 in blue ink. (See photo Gallery.) This is the same graphic used on the 1992 calendar although that one was printed in red ink. Although this was intended for use in 1993, it was issued in 1992. Therefore, it's probable that Grafton Books (HarperCollins) used the same graphic for this calendar as it did for the 1992 issue because both were issued during the Centennial year.
Curiously, the large format calendars licensed by Grafton Books (HarperCollins) have one illustration different from the Ballantine books small format calendar. These include an illustration of "Treebeard" but do not have an illustration "The Gates of Moria." The illustrations are not in the same order, either.
