TCG Letter #1047

Daphne Castell (later Cloke) interviewed Tolkien circa 1966. This letter, along with three others ^{Letter from J.R.R. Tolkien to Daphne Castell • 28 September 1954 (#1046) and another typed, undated and unsigned letter[1]} and an annotated transcript of her notes for the interview, were sold at Sotheby's in 1983 (see reference below).

Tolkien most likely discussed his health in this letter.
