It was noted in the Tolkien Societies journal, Amon HenNo. 41, it is noted that "Phillips the fine art auctioneers have written to say they are selling: a letter from JRRT to the late Prof. Dodds 28.1.55; a 1st Edn Hobbit;and a proof copy of RotK with corrections by JRRT (incomplete)."[1]
