TCG Letter #1205

Wiseman and Gilson had reread one of Tolkien's letters, he includes comments from Gilson. They ask why Tolkien is always skipping meetings of the T.C.B.S. and give him some details of the gathering he missed during the previous weekend in Cambridge. Wiseman, in response to the evident suggestion from Tolkien of a gathering, makes mention that his mother is recovering from an operation so they cannot meet at their house but suggests a hotel in the Cotswolds. Gilson then adds a post script explaining that he needs ample time to get weekend leave from the army.
