Smith sends Tolkien another telegram care of Edith's landlady, Mrs. kendrick to inform him of his time of arrival via train.Smith visits Tolkien and Edith at Great Haywood the next day and stays for one night. In a later letter he will note that he met Edith and a Jennie Grove.[1]
