C.T. Onions writing to John Johnson of the Oxford University Press asks about the position which is being taken by the press in relation to the proposed 'student' edition of Sir Gawain and thr Green Knight. Gordon with their edition of the text. He will later decide that the book should not exceed 160 pages.
