Tolkien returns most of the proofs for A Middle English Vocabulary,A Middle English Vocabulary will be published as a standalone on its own on 11 May 1922 with a collected volume containing both Sisam's Fourteenth Century Verse & Prose and Tolkien's text on 8 June 1922.[1] with significant corrections.
In a cover note he apologizes for his delay, he is only just recovering from influenza which slowed his progress.
