Stanley Unwin writes to Tolkien on the matter of his visit to London to meet with him and C. A. Furth on 28 July.Tolkien visits the GA&U office on 28 July at 12.30pm[1] He notes that if they have heard from Houghton Mifflin by 26 July they will cable them. He asks Tolkien if he owns the copyright of the photograph which Tolkien sent to them.
