Tolkien writes about correspondence from the Dean of Queens' College Cambridge, who has started a Cambridge Society called the Ring Readers and wishes to take the members to Oxford to meet Tolkien. Tolkien is not keen on the idea and does not want the Dean to know that he now lives in Bournemouth. He asks Joy to reply so that the Dean does not see a Bournemouth postmark.
