TCG Letter #2450

From
Lieutenant P. V. Emrys-Evans
To
Robert Cary Gilson
Date
13 July 1916
Type
Unknown
Transcript
Partial
Emrys-Evans writes to Robert Quilter Gilson's father, describing RQG's first experiences of the trenches as compared to how he envisioned visiting France when he was younger.

A comment from RQG is reproduced in this letter, where Gilson says he didn't think it was of any use to send farewell letters, it would be up to those that survive to "write all that is necessary."
