Christopher Tolkien writes to a Mr. Cofield, apparently in reply to some questions. He says that he must be brief as he about to go abroad but that he does not know of one Allen Barnett or a Tolkien biography by Daniel Grotta-Kurska.^{J.R.R. Tolkien: Architect of Middle-earth was the first released biography on J.R.R. Tolkien, published in 1976 by Running Press.[1]} He does not know of any source for the 'stories" in the book.
