W.N. Beard from George Allen & Unwin writes to Tolkien about the Houghton Mifflin edition of The Hobbit. They need to fulfil an order for the US publisher so will need to reprint the book quickly. He notes that the corrections had sent them have been incorporated and will send proofs to him to check over.
