In reply to Bridson, Tolkien remarks that he has no other reason to visit London currently but would be able to visit around 2nd December after the end of term. He asks for the Sir Gawain text to be returned so that he can revise it. He can offer advice where to cut the text, and if required, supply a narrative in place of the removed portions not suitable for broadcast.
