Condition: The set is complete and all of the books are original to the set. The books are not price clipped. The slip case has a little wear and some areas of sunfade along some of the edges. Understandably, the case also has some dust related staining on the inside. The books are in very good order, but there is some sunfade to the spines, especially The Hobbit and The Silmarillion. The Fellowship of The Rings also has a faded front cover too. The Hobbit dust cover, when held under the light, shows impressions of having been leant on for writing. This does not affect the underlying boards. The Return of The King dust cover has a crease running down the opening front edge as though it has not been folded back properly. All of the book boards are in excellent order. The pages and boards of all of the books are in excellent overall condition. The books also have their maps attached and they look like they have never been opened. Overall a nice set and scarce.
