Up for bid is this 11th printing USA example of J.R.R. Tolkien's The Hobbit. First published in 1937, this book set the stage for fantasy  writing, and is still very influential today. Followed by the Lord of the Rings which has enchanted many million throughout the years since its publication. This example of The Hobbit is in good plus condition. The covers are nice and solid. The first few pages have some spots. It there are no inscriptions in the book. The rest of the pages are clean. Please examine the many photos. The color frontispiece is beautiful. The sticker in one photo is on the Brodart cover and not the dust jacket. The jacket is split into 2 pieces and is missing a large chunk on the front. It is there however. Please examine the pictures carefully and ask any questions you might have. I have been a collector of Tolkien's works for many years and have a personal collection of several hundred books.
