For sale is The History of Middle Earth Volumes 1 - 12 edited by Christopher Tolkien. A BEAUTIFUL PRESENTATION OF THIS SET OF BOOKS that is now difficult to come by in this condition at this price. This is the complete 1st edition set in the original 12 volumes. Overall, all 12 volumes are in NEAR FINE condition in NEAR FINE dustjackets. Only the lightest of rubbing to the dustjackets, no chipping or loss to any. Dustjacket to #10 (Morgeth's Ring) has some scratches to the front panel of the DJ. An OUTSTANDING set for the collector. The set consists of: Allen and Unwin 1st Edition 1st Printing of the first four volumes housed in a black leather slipcase; Unwin Hyman 1st Edition 1st Printing of the second four volumes housed in a black leather slipcase and Harper Collins 1st Edition 1st Printing of the final four volumes in a black leather slipcase.
