Vintage - Very Rare Edition of The Lord of the Rings by J.R.R. Tolkien - De Luxe Boxed Edition with 2 maps in Very Good to Excellent condition. The box is in Excellent condition with very slight wear - see photos. The books cover is also in very good to excellent condition with very light wear and has a cover - see photos. The interior pages are clean and crisp and the binding is nice and tight. There are two large foldout maps in the book - see part of one in the photos. The book covers all three parts of the Trilogy: Fellowship of the Ring; The Two Towers; & Return of the King. The book was printed in England in 1979 so it is nearly 40 years old. There are a total of 1193 pages in the book, including an index + the two maps. There is a former owners bookplate on the inside of the front cover but it looks kind of like a Hobbit. Overall this would make an excellent addition to any collection. We do offer discounts on shipping for customers buying more than one item - see below. This item is one from several boxes full of old items that we purchased at an Estate Sale this past week. We will be listing several more early books, plus kids series, sports & miscellaneous items, etc. over the next week or two. If you have any questions, please contact us via the Ebay Message System. Ebay Code: Box 5Shipping and Handling Costs: Buyer pays $6.00 for regular Economy Mail shipping, these are shipped in a padded envelope or $15.00 for Priority Mail shipping, these are shipped in the boxes provided by the Post Office. Insurance and other options can be added for additional costs to the buyer if he or she prefers them. Please let me know if you want to add any other options before I send the invoice or before you make the payment. Customers outside of the United States must pay actual shipping costs to your location - NOT the $6.00 or $15.00 options!! If you need to find out a price on your location, please email me before the auction is over with your address. Sorry to have to have raised our shipping fees but the recent Postal Service increase is to large for us to absorb. Seller's payment instructions: Buyer must pay for item(s) & shipping costs. Insurance or other charges can be arranged at or previous to the end of the sale. We take the following payment methods: Credit Cards (shpping with-in 2 - 3 working days).Paypal (shipping with-in 1 - 2 working days). Contact us with any questions. Multiple Purchases: Customers who plan to buy more than one item, please contact me about discounts in the shipping fee. Usually, if the item is a regular size and weight, and is being shipped within the 48 United States, I charge an additional $1.00 per item after the first item. (In other words, if you buy 3 books your Media Mail shipping fee would be $6.00 total - not $12.00. 5 books would be $8.00 total not $20.00, etc). To make sure of your shipping costs on multiple purchases, email me with the ebay items you are interested in buying and your shipping address. Visit our Ebay Store: Lots of great books and interesting items at reasonable prices. Shipping discounts apply there as well - see above. We have tens of thousands of old and used hardback books and paperbacks. Most of our hardbacks are in the $3.00 to $10.00 range and most of our paperbacks are 50 cents. We also have old postcards, comics, some records, sheet music, old bottles, toys, dishes, etc. something for practically everyone. If you do plan on visiting us, please call in advance as my wife and I have some medical issues and are not always there when we should be.
