West Hull Rare Books are pleased to offer for sale, a first edition, first Impression copy of..... The Return of the King....By the Author....J R R Tolkien....Published by George Unwin and Allen in 1955. THE BOOK ....Is in very good condition. The red boards are clean, but the spine is a touch faded. There is a small name and contempary date to the top corner of the front endpaper. The book is tightly bound with just a touch of spine lean. The inner pages are fresh and clean, and the map is present to the rear of the book, and in fine condition. Page 49 has the slipped legolas text and number 4 to the bottom of the page. THE DUSTWRAPPERS.....Is in good condition. The wrappers is the correct first impression printed in 1955. The front flap of the wrapper is missing and there is a little chipping to the spine tip. The rest of the wrapper is surprisingly clean. The rear flap has the correct price of present. PLEASE NOTE.... Both the book and dustwrapper are the rare first edition, first Impression.
