Condition: Quite a good, sound issue of this quite scarce and highly desirable Tolkien collectible.
Oxford Poetry 1914-1916 Edited by G.D.H. Cole, et al 1st Edition 1917 B.H. Blackwell Oxford ISBN: N/A Hardback Not illustratedQuite Scarce Hammond: Page Ref.: p.279 Book is in VG condition. No marks internally or externally. Fading to spine as expected. Some foxing spots, as expected. Clean and tight copy of this rarely seen work. A compilation of three volumes from the Oxford Poetry series. Includes Tolkien’s poem Goblin Feet. See pp.120-121 Goblin Feet is also reprinted in The Annotated Hobbit. The first two verses of Goblin Feet are reprinted in Carpenter's Biography, while the second, third and fourth verses are reprinted in Tolkien and the Great War. Oxford Poetry 1914-1916 also contains verse by Naomi Mitchison, who would later become a great devotee of Tolkien's works. A rare treat in VG condition. Quite difficult to find for the Tolkien completist and a rare piece of Tolkien miscellanea.
