This beautifully illustrated new hardback set is limited to a worldwide printing of just 1,000 numbered copies, with each personally signed by Alan Lee. Each volume is fully bound in cloth and stamped in silver foil, features brand new cover designs by the artist, and has silver gilt page edges. The three volumes are housed in separate removable drawers within a unique, custom-built, archival-quality Solander 'clamshell' box, which is bound in full cloth and features an exclusive illustrated cover design and interior painting created by Alan Lee. They are accompanied by four removable art cards presented in a foil-stamped envelope, together with two foldout maps of Middle-earth drawn by Christopher Tolkien.
