Condition: ***NOTE: Although the inside pages themselves are mostly fine, the top exterior fore-edges (only) of some of the volumes are sometimes speckled quite heavily. As a result, I have reduced the price substantially to reflect condition. The slight yellowing of the fore edges is a result of age and is common in these volumes. Please see the images attached to this listing (particularly the last one) and enlarge them to confirm you are happy before ordering!*** This is a bargain price for this set in what is still good condition. Description: Good complete 12 volume set of The History of Middle Earth, by J.R.R. Tolkien. All hardback, in very good condition dust jackets. All dust jackets are in removable plastic covers, and are mostly fine. There is some normal shelf wear and one or two very minor closed tears. Overall very good. The first volume is 7th impression, book 2 and 3 4th impressions, volume 4 is 3rd impression, 5 and 6 are the 1st reprint, and volumes 7 to 12 are all first im

All are UK editions - the early books are Allen Unwin and the latter Harper Collins. All have the same livery so the set is matching, and all were bought around the same time. The condition of the books is generally good, and overall this is a good+ set at a bargain price.
