This important collection includes Tolkien’s influential essay “Beowulf: The Monsters and the Critics,” along with other significant scholarly writings that provide insight into his academic work and literary thought.

Condition:
The book is in very good to good condition. Interior pages are intact with no wrinkles or torn pages. The binding remains solid. The Dust Jacket is in very good to good condition it shows light shelf wear with minor rubbing and shows some chipping as shown in one of the pictures. The bottom corner of the hardcover board has a small, bumped corner (see picture). Foxing is present, as shown in two of the photos. Book has ex libris sticker from previous owner.
