This set of three hardback volumes of The Lord of the Rings, by J.R.R.Tolkein, are in unread, excellent condition. Published by Harper Collins in 1992 as special centenary editions, they are all in the original dust jackets which feature a decoration of Black rune symbols on a Silver background, across the top and bottom. All three books are beautifully illustrated throughout by the renowned artist, Alan Lee. I believe that his interpretations of this timeless story, helped to contribute to the three films made by Peter Jackson, and that Alan Lee acted in a consultancy role during these productions? Each volume is in Navy Blue publishers cloth with Tolkeins' monogram symbol, embossed in Silver.
I have listed below details for each volume, and pagination runs consecutively through each of the three volumes. If further details are needed please don't hesitate to contact me. Whilst I prefer to sell the three volumes as one complete lot, I would consider splitting if absolutely necessary.
