Very good in very good, unclipped ($6.00) dust jackets in very good slipcase.
All volumes have a mild musty smell. Otherwise, interiors are clean & unmarked. "Towers" has a small moisture stain/warping along fore edges of pp. 107-110 (2 leaves). "King" has creased corner to map. Covers are clean with bright titles & decorations. Dust jackets have sun-fading to spines; mild wear along edges & at corners; "Fellowship" has a bit of fraying & some short tears at spine ends; "Towers" has small chip at head of spine; "King" has short tears at head of spine & mild rubbing & scuffing to rear panel. All maps are clean & very lightly used. Slipcase has light wear at corners & along edges; a touch of rubbing to paper label.
An attractive & desirable vintage set of Tolkien's masterpiece. A nice addition to your collection or as a gift.
