A brand new sealed 2001 Deluxe India Paper Edition of J.R.R. Tolkien’s The Lord of the Rings. This HarperCollins edition features a quarter leather binding, gilded edges, and a leatherette case.
I believe this is the 3rd impression the same as the other one I am selling but as it is sealed I cannot check. ISBN is the same as my other copy.
An essential addition to any Tolkien collection.
This is a magnificent copy of J.R.R. Tolkien’s This luxurious edition is printed on India paper, reducing the thickness of the book to approximately 1 inch, allowing for a compact yet comprehensive version of Tolkien’s epic trilogy.
The book is quarter-bound in black leather with gilt titles, author’s name, publisher, and Tolkien’s distinctive monogram elegantly displayed on the spine. The front board features a large gilt-stamped Tolkien monogram, adding a touch of sophistication to this beautiful volume.
The volume includes the map “A Part of The Shire” on page 30, and the 1980 version of “The West of Middle-earth at the End of the Third Age” along with “The Map of Gondor, Rohan, and Mordor” displayed on the endpapers.
Only 2,037 copies of this third impression were produced.
