This is an incredibly scarce book as only 100 copied were made, I have not seen any others listed for several years now, my hopeswere to also acquire The Tale of Gondolin but unfortunately I have no choice but to put the book up for sale, and if you ever want to sell it in the future I will gladly purchase it backwith interest. The book is in very good condition, Ive had it in an enclosed book case for over 15 years,it has never been read and the pages haven't even been turned. This is copy #34 out of 100,and it has been signed by the writer Alex Lewis and illustrator Ruth Lacon. It also includes the the original (signed) introduction letter, which is in excellent condition. The book was first issued in a series of 3 booklets for members of The Tolkien Society in 1990, created to fund a quality present for Miss Priscilla Tolkien during the 1992 Tolkien Society Conference, celebrating Tolkien's 100th birthday. Like The Tale of Gondolin, the project was not backed by the Tolkien Estate.The book was released in 2005[1] and was limited to 100 copies worldwide.
