A First edition Eleventh impression copy of The Return of the King complete in original clean boards. The dustwrapper is present & is covered in clear laminate. There are no marks to the boards from the laminate and it is not attatched to boards or endpapers in any way. Possible the laminate could be taken off.
The Dark Lord has risen, and as he unleashes hordes of Orcs to conquer all Middle-earth, Frodo and Sam struggle deep into his realm in Mordor.
To defeat Sauron, the One Ring must be destroyed in the fires of Mount Doom. But the way is impossibly hard, and Frodo is weakening. The Ring corrupts all who bear it and Frodo’s time is running out.

8vo. Hardback. Red boards with gilt motif to spine. No marks to front board & spine. Light mark to foot & lightly along leading edge of rear board (no leeching of red on to endpapers). Name & address of scholar at Oxford dated 1966 to front endpaper. Otherwise text clean and complete with neat folded map at rear. Endpapers original and unsplit. No loose or missing leaves.
The dustwrapper is complete but has been laminated up to a third of the wrapper flaps. There is nicking to corners of spine. It have however preserved the red titles on the spine. Original price of 25snet to front flap.
An original First Edition Eleventh impression copy of the last installment of the Lord of the Rings Trilogy complete with its original unfaded dustwrapper - albeit laminated but fortunately not affected the book in any way.
