1st edition, 3rd impression, 1942. pp310 + ads to the rear. Produced to War standards, it's understood that only 1500 of this impression were printed. The previous 2nd impression was printed in 1937, same year as the first, the 4th was not until 1946.Complete with all illustrations and in good overall condition. Front board has a couple of marks, but is good. Stain to the bottom left of the rear board. A little rubbing to the top and tail of the spine. Very little shelf wear to the bottom of the boards. Joints are not split. Corners slightly bumped. Hinges are very good. Internally, one slight crease to the two front endpapers. No inscriptions. No loose pages. Title/copyright page has three faint brown lines across as you can see in the photo, but this is minor and does not affect any other page. Rare in any condition. I have not cleaned the book at all.
