A very handsome set of the Lord of the Rings books by J R R Tolkien, comprising The Fellowship of the Ring, 10th impression 1961, The Two Towers 7Th impression 1960 and The Return of the King, 10th impression 1963. All books in original jackets without usual age toning and fading to spine. All maps present. Rare to fine in such nice condition.

Fellowship of The Ring, a very good book in a very good plus dust jacket. Book with some tape marks to ffep/last page otherwise contents nice and clean. Dust jacket with some shelf wear to spine ends, short closed tear to upper panel and some light creasing otherwise a lovely bright, clean example.

The Two Towers, a very good in a near fine dust jacket. Book with some tape marks to ffep/ last page otherwise contents nice and clean. Dust jacket an excellent example without chips or tears. Some pushing to spine tips and areas of light discolouration but overall colours bright and fresh.

The Return of the King, a very good book in like dust jacket. Previous owner's name to ffep. Some bleed through from publisher's  red dye to tips of some pages. Dust jacket very good with some light creasing here and there and a few impression marks to front cover. Tape mark along edge of inner flap. Again, a nice clean unfaded/ untoned example to complete the set.
