That's certainly not perfect. Hopefully the binding issues we see are small like these.

For those that already have gotten their copy, how is the material and quality of the black loop used to pull out the drawers with? Have different people have the same or different experience with these?

no issues like that on mine. is that glue ? folded over paper or something else ?

Best I can get with my phone. Hard to say what the material is, it feels smooth and silky to the touch

Folded over paper. The other side of the purple paper on the inside of the cover is white.
The other issue is where a bit of the gilt edging either wasn't applied properly or has rubbed off for some reason...

The black loop looks like the same sort of ribbon (woven nylon, if I had to guess?) that gets used for bookmarks. It's glued into the drawer, extending under the paper covering the bottom of the drawer by about an inch.
