My copy is numbered in the 800s. There’s clearly no correlation to order time, as expected.

Not perfect but nothing found so far that is significant enough to upset/annoy me...

That's certainly not perfect. Hopefully the binding issues we see are small like these.

When we do our unboxing here in a few hours we'll give everyone some common issues to look out for...

For those that already have gotten their copy, how is the material and quality of the black loop used to pull out the drawers with? Have different people have the same or different experience with these?

Could someone post a high-resolution close-up of one of them if they have the time? Thank you kindly. 😁

Best I can get with my phone. Hard to say what the material is, it feels smooth and silky to the touch

Folded over paper. The other side of the purple paper on the inside of the cover is white.

The other issue is where a bit of the gilt edging either wasn't applied properly or has rubbed off for some reason...

The black loop looks like the same sort of ribbon (woven nylon, if I had to guess?) that gets used for bookmarks. It's glued into the drawer, extending under the paper covering the bottom of the drawer by about an inch.

The clamshell case has a couple of magnets built into it to keep it closed.

Thank you both for showing and commenting on the black loop. Does it feel sturdy? Like it can do its job without a problem, or do you get a feeling that you have to extra careful (above and beyond what you would be considering the edition)?
