Available to order today from Harper Collins. Ordered mine :)
I will repost my initial remarks on the pre-order
It is available for pre-order from HarperCollins, for UK delivery only, on the 8th August 2025. If you live in the UK and wait for the next 50% off sale after the date, you should be able to buy it for £62.50 with free delivery.

There is a permanent 50% code that seems to always be active. They send it out if you don't buy anything for a while (or that was my experience anyway).
Kenny's Bookshop from Ireland has the new Deluxe Hobbit for pre-order at €92.08 plus shipping at the moment via Amazon Germany. A great price for the Europeans. I have used them previously and had no issues with their service.
I've made numerous orders from Kenny's on AbeBooks and have always been happy with them.
There is no tracking information on the shipping (on orders from the US at least) but the books have always arrived in a reasonable time, well packed, and in great shape.

I've had a mixed bag from Kenny's in terms of packing over the years. The last couple of orders have arrived perfect and well packed, though. If I order this edition (haven't done as yet, and not sure I'm going to due the plastic spine), I'll likely use Kenny's.
This morning I had a shipping notice from Kenny's for the new Hobbit and have spoken to them this afternoon as I was concerned that they might have mixed up two different books. In case others here took advantage of that price and got a shipping notice as well, the book is not shipped. Their system defaulted and assumed it was a current title rather than a future one. Their computer auto prints orders to be dealt with that day in their warehouse. They also confirmed that the price is for the new book and that their orders will ship shortly before publication.
Mod Edit: Please do not speculate on the site
