I've never seen a first edition Sir Gawain with black boards. Is this a known variant of the 1946 printing or is the color in the image perhaps deceptive?

Not black boards, just bad lighting on the image.
Didn’t sell at $333 so seller upped to $444 and now thinks it will go for $666…
I sent a more reasonable offer on the earlier listing and the seller ridiculed me “for thinking this was the 60th anniversary version”…if it were the 60th I wouldn’t be paying over $100.
Still kicking myself for losing the bid on the one that showed up here a few months ago that included two of the other gold foil author designed dustjacket volumes that sold for $120 all in.
