I have gotten the Lord of the Rings set earlier, so I am looking forward to getting this Hobbit edition as well. Would feel a bit incomplete without it.
I'm hoping these get a price drop around Black Friday/Cyber Monday, so I can get a better price on a WM edition.
The pictures I’ve seen look great, really like the new cover painting.I didn’t realise there was so much space around the text in the Folio edition. And also the text is set on the pages differently in each version.

I saw a comparison with the Folio LE on r/tolkienbooks and I completely agree. I was a little bit surprised about the choice of painting for the front of the HC one (Leaving the Trolls), but I guess it makes sense considering the fact that the photos indicate that this is a separate print included. It looks great.

The new Trolls picture is really good looking (better than a couple of the new additions used on the LotR covers, which felt a bit like "filler" with a lot of digital smoke and fire -- though the Wraith on Horse was fantastic). A few people have commented that the trolls is a weird choice for the cover, which is a good point, though I understand why HC did that from a marketing perspective (new pic that hadn't been used elsewhere).
