Ted has done some of the artwork for the computer game, Lord of the Rings Online, and they have an interview with him.

Thanks for posting. I must admit, I much prefer Ted's art to Alan Lee's as it has so much more variation (i.e. every picture isn't grey). Would be nice to see his work used again in an "offical" publication at some point.

I too prefer Ted's work. I find Alan Lee rather boring if I am being frank. He is a very talented artist obviously but it just doesn't do it for me. His Beren and Luthien work is s uninspired that I found it a shame he was used again when some like Ted shows solid concepts across his entire portfolio.

I tend to think of Roger Garland as "funky sci-fi/fantasy art". I like it, but it doesn't fit with my own visions of Middle-Earth. I have the late 80s (89?) calendar with his art in it, and remember it fondly (unlike many of the other calendars over the years).
