Every last Thursday of the month we hold a Dead Poets Salon and Open Mic. One day we may get around to streaming or recording them but technology is not our forte so when it happens, it happens. However, for January, our dead poet was the poet of Beowulf and here is a short extract from the Old English text (lines 26-53 to be precise) read by the wonderful Dr Richard Hawtree who also lead us through the wilds of the whole poem for the evening.
