Just picked up a first edition of the Thai translation from 2001-2002 from a seller in Thailand. The covers have small metal trinkets embedded in a recess and covered by a plastic window--a ring for Fellowship of the Ring, a medallion with the Tolkien monogram for Two Towers, and a sword for Return of the King. The set is in like-new condition.
