I recently received the latest German translation of The Hobbit illustrated by the author edition to match the translations of The Lord of the Rings and The Silmarillion that have come out over the last couple of years.
I have included shots with the 2023 HarperCollins author illustrated edition for reference.
As with the others, it’s larger than its English counterpart and has wrap around ruins to stained page edges. No fold out maps, but does come with a slip case and publishers slip.
