FOTR 1st American, 3rd impression, not sure, any advice appreciated

From reading available resources on internet, seems this is variant of 3rd impression without Allen and Unwin device. Thank you in advance for any advice this forum can provide.

Back cover photo is v shaped.
Front cover brown ink.
P. 424 (pictured below) blank (has some pencil marks

I’ve just had a quick glance at some of my US FoTR firsts, and yes I would agree, based on your images provided.

Can you snap a pic of pages 29-30?

Looks like these pages have not been replaced by the publisher. I think it's safe to assume you have a 1955, 3rd printing, variant A copy here. 1 of 3,000 that were printed.

Very appreciative of you taking the time to look at this and share your expertise. This was a cheap library book sale purchase that I picked up on a whim and had no clue was an early edition...just liked the map in back. No idea what to do with it. Regards, Bill
