Bought mine because I didn’t get the Folio Edition. I have the 1992 Single bound Ed signed by Alan Lee, The Folio Hobbit also signed and the 1996 The Hobbit signed by him to keep it company.

Those are some wonderful editions. Yeah, not getting the Folio edition was a discernable part of the reasons why I got this one as well.

Thank you for a wonderful video with a detailed look at many aspects of the book. It was great that you brought up many of the questions that had been discussed here on the forums. I have to say I also really enjoyed the good atmosphere and the collaborative discussions between the three hosts. Like friends who have known each other for ever. I think that really added a lot of value ot the viewing experience compared with the standard YouTube video you might see on other channels of one person talking off camera.

Thanks - decent balanced assessment.
Just a couple of corrections re Folio. LotR took about a day and a half to sell out (I bought on the second day). The Hobbit was officially about 17 minutes, which IIRC was about 5 minutes before 4pm and 12 after.
The LotRs have gone up in value. The Hobbits have not (prob due to all the replacements and the fact it was pretty poor value for a single volume).

Glad I am not the only one who thought that way. Collecting rare editions nowadays is getting a pretty expensive proposition.
