Donald Swann writes to Tolkien,Mentioned in Tolkien's own letter, Carpenter #294b: Letter from J.R.R. Tolkien to Donald Swann • 20 March 1967 (#974)[1] they talked about Elvish, songs, scripts for their book, and Tolkien mentions that is trying to complete his translation of Sir Gawain. Swann had hoped to decorate [i[The Road Goes Ever On[/i] but if Tolkien is not up to translating 'A Elbereth Gilthoniel', he shouldn't concern himself with it.
