TCG Letter #1823
From
E. V. Gordon
To
J.R.R. Tolkien
Date
3 June 1936
Type
Unknown
Transcript
Partial
Gordon writes to Tolkien as he had said nothing about the marking system for examinations.
He goes on to note that he has read Seinte Iuliene. He is upset that Tolkien's name is not present as an editor because "practically all that is especially valuable in it is recognisably" Tolkiens. "There is really no other piece of Middle English editing to touch it."
