which will be held in London on 12 June. Gordon is sorry that Tolkien will be unable to stay for the weekend.
Notes
Wayne Hammond and Christina Scull note that Tolkien "will not be concerned with vivas until the last two years of his appointment."
Tolkien will be in Manchester on 26 June to sign documents with Gordon.
