Helen Buckhurst writes to Tolkien to thank him for arranging for a copy of The Hobbit to be sent to her. Letter from George Allen & Unwin to Helen Buckhurst • August 1937 (#1997)[1] She says the book is delightful, though she wishes that there had been more illustrations and that it is "first of many such books". She concludes with news of her holidays.
