TCG Letter #2005

From
J.R.R. Tolkien
To
Joy Hill
Date
9th August, 1967
Type
Typed Letter Signed
Transcript
Complete
A short note from Tolkien to his secretary on a few outstanding items. Miss Jenkinson (who will be sending stock replies to letters that Tolkien does not want to personally compose) will put together a list of possible responses that Tolkien can then choose from on a case by case basis. A young man has dropped off a tape recorder, but "was not prepared" to demonstrate how to use it. He also forwards on two manuscripts and asks Hill to tell him if they are worth paying attention to.
