F.E. Harmer, a colleague from Manchester writes to Tolkien to ask advice on the meaning of various Old English words and if Tolkien could present any citations for the use of (ge-)frith.Bodleian Library (word meanings) and Chronology, p. 219 (citation of (ge-)frith)[1] He also praises The Hobbit and mentions that he has sent it to his nephew.

This letter is found with the Tolkien Papers at the Bodleian archives.
