Kenneth Sisam writes to Tolkien on E.O.G. Turville-Petre's Viga-Glúms Saga. He notes that it will be published in their Oxford English Monographs series of which Tolkien is among the general editors. There will be a delay as they need to secure some special Icelandic characters for the printing.
Sisam also remarks (in a footnote) about Tolkien's Beowulf lectureBeowulf: The Monsters and the Critics[1] and gives him praise for it.
Later in May, Tolkien replies Letter from J.R.R. Tolkien to Kenneth Sisam • 28 May 1938 (#107)[2] that he has received a note from Turville-Petre to say that he (Turville-Petre) is again sailing for Iceland, but he should discuss various matters on the work before he leaves.
