Tolkien sends the manuscript of his short story, The Bovadium Fragments to Christopher to read. He includes a note about its inspirations and the general themes and use of Latin.
Notes
*an accurate date is not known and Christopher Tolkien gives a speculative "about 1960". We have given it a date from when Tolkien was dealing with The Bovadium Fragments in October through the end of the year.
