TCG Letter #2687

From
J.R.R. Tolkien
To
Ronald Eames
Date
7 October 1948
Type
Unknown, Manuscript/Proof Document
Transcript
Partial
Tolkien sends his spare copy of Farmer Giles of Ham, which is uncorrected, to Ronald Eames. This copy is to be sent on to the illustrator Pauline Baynes. He believes that it will serve her in preparation for illustrating the book.

Tolkien had sent his only copy of the preface to GA&U, Carpenter's Letter #108 (J.R.R. Tolkien to Allen & Unwin Ltd., 5 July 1947) and asks that they make a copy for him or return it to him so he can make a note of the revisions.
