TCG Letter #367

From
Joy Hill
To
Colin Smythe
Date
10 March 1969
Type
Typed Letter Signed
Transcript
Partial
Joy Hill (misunderstanding) Smythe's comments states that she doubts that A&U would allow Smythe to produce a signed limited edition.

Notes
On March 7, Smythe wrote that he understands Tolkien's inability to contribute a poem, but Smythe would rather see The Silmarillion be published in any event. He hopes that Allen & Unwin might do a signed limited edition.

Mentioned in "Eorclanstanas or The Hobbitiana" (Precious Stones), M. Hime bookseller catalog, 1980, item #45

The conversation ends in Letter from Joy Hill to Colin Smythe • October? 1971 (#368). The prior letter in the conversation is Letter from Joy Hill to Colin Smythe • 6 March 1969 (#366).
