A typed letter of thanks to Mrs A. Mountfield of Eltham Green School, thanking her for sending the letter by one of her class children ^{Letter from J.R.R. Tolkien to Master Clements* (see note) • 17 January 1964 (#541)[1]} which gave him great pleasure. He adds some text with praises for teachers and some recollections of him being a distracted student.
